Fishtank’s Top 3 Favourite Design Blogs

When you work in the design industry, it’s very easy to become stagnant when it comes to staying on top of the latest design trends. Therefore, we’re always keeping up to date with the best industry blogs showcasing trends, talent and techniques from the creative world.

aiga the professional association for design

The AIGA blog is cool, and not only because the logo has a cool realistic blink animation (keep watching it). They tend to showcase illustration, quite bold works with colour and shape pulling from cold-war era styling to swiss-inspired typography. It’s a beautiful site with no ads and a real emphasis on readibility.

it’s nice that

It’s Nice That has a stronger emphasis on mixed media with everything from textile to photography. They tend to pull some really great international exposure pieces together such as their latest article (at the time of writing) on Ghana street photography. Easy to navigate and you’ll always be surprised with what you find.

design taxi

Despite their slightly annoying ad-screens where they flog the products from their own creative shop before you get to your article, Design Taxi is one of our favourites in terms of witty, creative content. They cover everything from design humour to the latest in digital camera technology – it’s a bit of a one stop shop.
